Coronavirus Update

Below is an image from Public Health England to share with parents which explains when a child requires a coronavirus (COVID-19) test and what the symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are.

Coronavirus Update - 28th June

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have managed to return to preschool since the 15th June under the guidance the Government and Local Authority.  We opened the doors to a limited amount of children to ensure that we could cope with social distancing.  We prioritized those children based on a number of criteria, so if you were not able to return just yet, we will in future look forward to your return when it's safe to do so.

To follow our daily progress we post on the closed facebook group.

Many thanks for your patience at this time and we look forward to seeing more of you back in the near future.

Coronavirus Update - 19th March

Dear Parents/Carers,

Jocks Lane Pavilion has now been closed to the public.

Therefore, in order to protect our staff, children and families, we have made the decision to close Preschool ahead of Friday. Your safety is our number one priority. We apologies for any inconvenience this causes to those who have not yet gone into isolation.

We are working with BFC to see if an alternative means of childcare is available to any Key workers who require it, as outlined in the statement from the Government yesterday.

Please monitor our website and Facebook page for updates as we get them.

We wish you well and hope you stay safe and take care.

On behalf of Binfield Preschool Staff and Committee
Adrian

Coronavirus Update - 17th March

Dear Parent/carers,

Following last night's government announcement, the advice has now changed. If anyone in your household has a persistent cough and/or a temperature, then the whole household need to self-isolate for 14 days. Further clarification of this is expected today. There is also additional advice for those in vulnerable groups (including those who have weakened or compromised immune systems, underlying chronic conditions including asthma, respiratory conditions, diabetes or heart conditions such as high blood pressure).

As such, please keep your child/ children at home if these measures apply to you.

As a result of the announcement, we have needed to survey our staff as these new measures affect their ability to be in preschool. Safety is of paramount importance and we need to have sufficient staff to operate safely.

Consequently, we have made the decision to remain open today, however we are running at lower staffing levels. If there are any changes today we may need to review this, so please check our website for more details. If there is no further update then we will be open tomorrow.

We are very sorry that this is a last minute update, however, I hope you can appreciate that we have needed to respond to the government’s announcement at very short notice ourselves. These measures are being put in place for everyone’s benefit and we are living in unprecedented circumstances.

We are expecting further information today and we will keep you updated.

Thank-you for your ongoing support and cooperation.

Yours sincerely,
Emma
