Registration

To register your interest with us at Binfield Preschool, please use the below form. Once completed you will be placed on our waiting list and the Admin person will be notified of your request.  You will only have to send the form once.

1.0 REGISTER YOUR INTEREST FORM

Use the link below to complete the register your interest form.

Register Your Interest Form

All information entered will remain confidential.

Please provide a requested Start Date on the form as this will allow us to plan accordingly for each term.

1.1 PLAY AND STAY

For the next part of the registration process you will be required to attend a play and stay session, which will be for about an hour.  This will allow us to see your child in setting, allows your child to meet us and gives you an idea of what we offer.  It will also give us a chance to have a discussion with you about your child.

1.2 HOME VISIT

As part of our registration process, we require a home visit.  We are aware that children act differently inside and outside of their homes.  Therefore, seeing them in session and at home allows us to get to know your child before they start with us and helps us to determine the support they require from us.

1.3 PAPERWORK

Registration form and all other forms to completed in full.  ID and Proof of Address (PoA) will need to be provided.

1.4 PROVISION START DATE

Once the above phases are complete then we can offer a provisional start date.

1.5 STAGGERED START

Years of experience have shown that starting preschool can be very daunting for children.  A new environment with so many unfamiliar people is a lot to take in, even for the most confident of children.  This is why we look to introduce new children gradually, with them only starting with a half day and building up to staying for the whole day.  This helps the transition from home to preschool to go more smoothly and causes less trauma for the child.

1.6 FUNDING

If your child receives funding, we must factor this in when giving a start date, as the funding portal is only open at the start of each term or specific times throughout the year for amendments.  We appreciate that most children want immediate starts and we will try and accommodate this where we can, but sometimes this may not be possible.

1.7 CHILD DEVELOPMENT CONCERNS

When completing the Register Your Interest form, please provide as much detail as possible relating to your child's development.  Be as open and as honest as you can be, as we are here to help and support your child throughout the early stages of their development.  If during the registration process, or soon after your child has started at preschool, we notice that a child requires additional help, we will use the information you have provided us on your Register Your Interest form to refer the child to the correct professionals.  We have strong relationships with the local authority and the Children's Development Centre, so you will be in safe hands.  Please keep in mind, however, that we are a small charity-registered preschool with only one room.  Therefore, if a child's needs are more than we can cope with, we may have to refuse a place or suggest an alternative setting.  This will be discussed with you in order to decide what is best for your child.
