Vacancy - Manager
Description
Binfield Preschool are looking for a passionate individual to manage our pack-away setting at Jocks Lane Pavilion in Bracknell and lead a small, friendly team of our staff. This small setting has a maximum capacity of 21 children aged between 2 and 5 years old and has been rated “Good” by Ofsted. A minimum of NVQ level 3, and 2 years of experience working in an early-years setting or equivalent, is required.
Working hours
Permanent. Term time only. Full days (within the hours of 8:50-3pm).

Primarily at Jocks Lane Pavilion, Bracknell but with the possibility of covering/training at Binfield Memorial Hall, Binfield.
Job Description
- Managing the overall day to day responsibilities involved in running the preschool – staffing, paperwork, emails etc and delivering a high-quality service to the children and their families
- Continuously providing a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors
- Offering an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
- Ensuring the preschool meets all Ofsted requirements
- Supervising and supporting the staff
- Conducting staff appraisals and supervisions, and identifying staff training needs
- Making sure staff are up to date with their knowledge and being aware of training opportunities that would benefit the Preschool
- Working with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families
- Helping staff to understand and work to preschool policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
- Delivering planning that ensures each child is working towards the early learning goals
- Organising and participating in the key person system
- Keeping and maintaining appropriate records in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Preschool
- Liaising closely with parents/carers to inform them about the preschool and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement
- Working in partnership with other staff, in particular the SENCO, the manager of the Memorial Hall Site, and the Committee, to regularly review practices, update procedures, conduct training and evaluations, and devise improvement plans
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as directed by the committee or the local authority, in accordance with the preschool/early-years aims and objectives
Binfield pre-school is committed to the safeguarding of all children. Requirements
