About Binfield Pre-School...

Since Binfield Pre-School was established in 1982, hundreds of children have enjoyed attending the sessions, and the pre-school hopes to continue serving the community in the same way for many years to come.

Aims and Objectives:

  • To meet the needs of all children in our care in accordance with their state of development.
  • To provide a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment for any Pre-School child between 2 and 5 years.
  • To follow a Foundation Stage curriculum defined by the government, which is designed to enhance the development and education of children up to the September after their 5th birthday.
  • To involve parents/carers, for example in supporting the committee, helping at sessions, volunteering their skills.

The Learning Environment

At both sites Binfield Pre-School occupies light and airy halls. Jocks Lane has extensive outdoor facilities including a large field area, park , tennis courts, woods and nature trail. We offer a huge range of toys/ games and activities to the children both indoors and outdoors.

The PreSchool curriculum is based on the Early Learning Goals (ELGs) as laid down by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. It covers the following areas:

 


1. Personal Social and Emotional


2. Communication Language and Literacy


3. Mathematical Development


4. Knowledge and Understanding of the World


5. Physical Development

Jock Lane site will open as usual at 9:30 AM
